Founder & Owner

Xavier Marzan

Xavier is a classically trained ballet dancer who grew up in Puerto Rico, where he studied at the Julian E. Blanco School of Classical Ballet. He was a member of The School of American Ballet (the official ballet school of New York City Ballet), Ballet Classico and Ballet de San Juan. After an injury in 1998 cut short his professional ballet career, Xavier turned his passion for dance to the world of Ballroom, which he has been teaching and performing for more than 10 years. He is a DVIDA® (Dance Vision International Dance Association) certified ballroom instructor, certified in American Style Rhythm, Rumba (Bronze), Cha Cha and Salsa on 2.
Xavier’s passion for the world of dance led him to createdancetalkinfo.com, a hub of dance-related information and a networking site for dancers and other artists.  Xavier also loves working with and motivating kids — one of his most rewarding experiences was mentoring and teaching fitness to young adults as part of “Teen Fit,” an adolescent obesity weight management and health lifestyle program offered by The Mount Sinai Adolescent Health Center in conjunction with the 92nd Street Y, a leading non-profit cultural and community center in New York City.
